Giant Bot head

Here’s my almost finished giant robot head. The original design for this was taken from a full-size robot that I’m actually working on. The structure itself is made completely out of wood and Petg filament. Using seven servo motors, the head is able to turn left or right. The eye lids are able to blink. Both eyes can look left and right. Last the eyebrows can swivel up and down in sync.

The brain of the robot is an Arduino Uno, which is a quite popular chip in the diy robotic community. An esp8266 chip is controlling the 2 led ring lamps in each eye. Colors and lighting effects can be changed through a Wi-Fi app that connects to the chip either from a phone or computer.

This project is far from finished though as there’s still a mouth that I’m designing and AI capabilities that I would like Integrate. Unfortunately, I didn’t make a full build video for this project, time was not on my side as this project was going to be displayed at (Coachella) this year 2024. I’ll post more updates here as I continue to work and make a new parts until this robot is finished.
